God's Mercy In Slippery Places

Psalm 94:18 - "When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up."
I used to survey land in Tennessee and have been in some steep and slippery places. Usually, our small crew was spread out, and when we slipped, there was no one to call out to close enough to hold us up. I found myself flat on the ground a few times, holding on to rocks, clumps of grass, or whatever I could get my hands on! I am glad that God is always near, and when our feet begin to slip, we can call out, and God’s mercy is always sure to hold us up. Every time I started sliding, it was because I wasn’t holding on to something when I should have been. If we hold on to the truth of God’s word, our feet won’t slip.
