Have Faith In God!

Mark 11:22 - "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God."
In Mark chapter 11, the disciples witness Jesus curse a fig tree. The next day, they pass by the same tree and are surprised to see the tree withered. I always wondered why they were so surprised by this. By chapter 11, these guys saw Jesus do some pretty amazing things, and they are impressed with a withered tree? I just didn’t get it; I didn’t understand. There were also things in my life I didn’t understand then, but the Lord impressed upon me that I didn’t have to understand everything right then; I just needed to trust him. Understanding would come in time; he would show me. What I needed was to “have faith in God.” Many years later, I have learned the implications of this passage following the triumphal entry, the fig tree, and Israel, and I also can look back and see how faith in God and studying the truth led to understanding the other things in my life.
