Thy Word Is Truth!

John 17:17 - "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
The word sanctify means “to make holy,” and it’s where we get the word “saint.” What comes to mind when you think of the word holy? Did you know you are supposed to be holy? That’s right; God wants us to be pure, clean, morally blameless, separate from profane things, and dedicated to God. The only way that’s possible is through the truth of the word of God. We can sit on the pew, put money in the offering, and carry a Bible on Sunday, but it is up to us to apply the word of God in our lives and allow it to sanctify us.
